Full back Carl Jenkinson could be set to sign for West Ham permamently, after owner David Gold hinted it in a tweet to a fan.

Jenkinson is currently on loan at Upton Park from Arsenal, and has become a regular in Sam Allardyce’s side, following a string of excellent performances.

And it seems Gold has been impressed as well. He was asked: “Is Carl Jenkinson available to play v Arsenal or does loan forbid it?”

Gold’s response was: “He will not play against Arsenal. This year. dg.”
