Chelsea are set to scupper a plan for Manxhester City’s proposed deal for Swansea’s Wilfreid Bony, with the West Londoners set to enter the race.
Bony, who is currently with the Ivory Coast national side preparing for the African Cup of Nations, looked set to join Manchester City in a £30 million deal.
But with the transfer fully yet to go through, and according to the Daily Star, Chelsea hope the lure of London could convince the Swans striker to leave,.
The 26-year-old joined for £12 million from Vitesse in the summer of 2013, and has netted 25 goals in just 52 games.
