Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini has claimed that Yaya Toure is set to depart Manchester City in the summer transfer window, according to reports in Italy.

Mancini, who returned to the San Siro in November of 2014, and has admitted that Inter are currently negotiating a deal to bring Toure to Italy in the summer.

Aside from the Serie A side, City’s Premier League rivals Chelsea, Liverpool and cross-city neighbours, Manchester United, have all recorded their interest for the 31-year-old Ivorian international.

Toure, who has been with the Premier League title holders since 2010. has seen his future come under question, having become unsettled after his Birthday apparently went unnoticed.

And former Manchester City boss Mancini, who brought Toure to the club, has hinted Toure will leave the City.

Mancini told Il Giornale: “He’s one of the best players in the world, he can still have his say.

“He played for many teams, in many leagues like Belgium, Spain, Russia, England. He only misses Italy, this may be a good chance for him.

We’re working on it.

“You know, there are some players who may change team and Yaya is one of them.

“Next year we may try: we just need three champions to close the gap with Juventus.”
