Zidane Zidane has dropped a giant hint in Real Madrid’s chase for Neymar.
This entire summer transfer window has gone by speculating over the future of the Paris Saint-Germain star. First it started with Neymar missing training and then several reports claiming Barcelona to have submitted several bids.
The Bavarians are a bit limited this transfer window due to the funds spent on acquiring Ousmane Dembele, Philippe Coutinho, Antoine Greizmann and Frenkie de Jong. They were thought to have offered Coutinho and Dembele in exchange for Neymar but PSG rejected the offer.
This has allowed Real Madrid to jump in and register their interest in the Brazilian. Neymar is desperate to leave PSG this summer but not many clubs have the budget to convince Nasser Al-Khelaifi into selling him.
“Neymar is not [in our squad] but until September 2, anything can happen,” Zidane told reporters following his side’s 5-4 penalty defeat to Roma on Sunday. “We are with the squad that we have and we are only thinking about that.”
“Bale and Rodriguez are two players in our squad, but anything can happen [until the end of the transfer window],” he added. “James Rodriguez is a Real Madrid player under contract, he was not called but everything can change.”
