Chelsea to make final offer for Filipe Luis

0

Chelsea have made one final £12 million offer for Filipe Luis, after refusing to match his buy out clause of £19 million.

Luis has recently demanded a move from Atletico after recently stating to Spanish media that he wants to move onto pastures new.

However, despite their La Liga title triumph, Atletico are still very much in crippling debt, with Luis pleading with the club to lower their demands of the player himself.

Atletico have already sold Diego Costa to Chelsea in a £32 million deal, however, with the Blues looking for a new fullback following Ashley Cole’s move to Roma, they have issued the Spanish club with a take it or leave it offer.

Liverpool and Luis Suarez come to a £62.6million deal!

0

According to reports Barcelona have reportedly closed a deal with both Liverpool and Luis Suarez over the Uruguayan’s £62.6 million summer move.

The striker will sign a contract making him the fourth highest paid player at Camp Nou, behind Lionel Messi, Neymar and Andres Iniesta, according to Spanish TV station TV3.

It’s understood that the final details will now be thrashed out with Liverpool over the weekend, with the transfer set to be officially announced next week.

The Reds are keen to collect as much as they can of Suarez’s £62.6m fee in one lump sum from Barca, with makeweight option Alexis Sanchez seemingly swaying towards a move to Arsenal, despite an offer on the table from Anfield.

It appears Liverpool have been forced to accept a hit on Suarez’s value following his bite on Giorgio Chiellini, as newspaper Mundo Deportivo claims the 27-year-old’s release clause was set at £75m.

Arsene Wenger ready to sign German midfielder

0

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, is ready to renew his interest in Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender.

The Gunners, who are in talks to sign Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle United, and Alexis Sanchez from FC Barcelona, are keen to keep spending in order to build on their FA Cup success from last season.

Wenger finally saw his side lift a trophy in May of this year after they beat Hull City 3-2 at Wembley, and he has now been urged by the board and the fans to reinvest in the squad and challenge again next season.

With Debuchy and Sanchez close, Wenger has now turned his attentions to a new holding-midfielder, and Bender is back on his radar.

Despite wanting him in January, the German didn’t make the switch to the Emirates Stadium, because he didn’t think he was good enough, however, Wenger is now ready to bid £15m to Leverkusen for their 25-year-old.

Other options for Wenger are Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton, and Sami Khedira from Real Madrid, but both would be more expensive than Bender.

Liverpool agree to a deal for Belgium striker Divock Origi, and have eyes on Lazar Markovic!

0

Liverpool will pay a fee that could reach up to £10m for 19-year-old Origi, who is set to discuss terms this week.

And they are hoping to conclude a deal for 20-year-old Markovic, who it is understood will cost about £25m.

Both moves are taking place as Liverpool prepare to sell striker Luis Suarez, 27, to Barcelona for £75m.

Barca have indicated they are willing to meet the Uruguayan’s buyout clause but talks continue about how the deal will be structured.

Liverpool are also waiting to hear from the Spanish club’s winger Alexis Sanchez, a target for Arsenal and Juventus.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has not yet given up hope of signing the 25-year-old Chilean but is still awaiting a response from him.

The Reds, who will return to the Champions League next season, are also keen to sign Southampton defender Dejan Lovren, but have had a £20m bid rejected.

Origi was part of the Belgium squad that reached the World Cup quarter-finals, scoring their winning goal against Russia.

Markovic helped Benfica win the Portuguese title last summer after moving from Partizan Belgrade in the summer of 2013.

Liverpool have already signed striker Rickie Lambert, 32, and midfielder Adam Lallana, 26, from Southampton for a combined fee of £29m.

Germany Under-21 midfielder Emre Can, 20, has also moved to Anfield, joining from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth £10m.

Romelu Lukaku is yet to discuss his future

0

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has revealed that he is yet to talk to manager Jose Mourinho about his future, but he is desperate to play for a side that competes for trophies.

The Belgium international has spent the last two seasons out on loan to Premier League sides West Bromwich Albion, and then Everton, both campaigns being a real success for the 21-year-old.

However, his future is still unclear and despite Mourinho’s dissatisfaction at the current striker at Stamford Bridge, Lukaku still might not have a future in West London.

Mourinho, who has already spent big in signing Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid, is keen to replace Samuel Eto’o, Demba Ba and Fernando Torres, but Lukaku has admitted that his future in still unclear.

‘I have a few ideas but we’ll see,’ said Lukaku. ‘I have to think about it.

‘I want to be somewhere where I can play my best football and hopefully win titles. There are choices to make. Things like that happen in football and I’m confident I will make the right choice.’

When he was asked about his future and whether he’s spoken to Mourinho, the Belgium international responded with: ‘No, not yet. It depends what is the best for me, where the most ambition is and where is the best place for me to do develop as a young player.

Feyenoord tell Man United to up their offer to £7 million for Daryl Janmaat

0

Feyenoord have told Manchester United that they will have to almost double their offer for Daryl Janmaat if they want to sign the Dutch fullback. Van Gaal knows that the defender who has performed well at the World Cup only has one year left on his deal and have offered £4 million for his services.

However Feyenoord have told United that they value the defender closer to £7 million and have demanded that they up their offer. Van Gaal will need to up his offer to fend off Newcastle who want Janmaat to replace the departing Debuchy who looks set to join Arsenal.

Meanwhile Louis Saha has urged Van Gaal to bring Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford as the former United striker rates the up and coming midfielder higher than he used to rate Patrick Viera. Pogba who left United frustrated after Sir Alex Ferguson didn’t give him an opportunity in a United shirt.

Will Van Gaal match Feyenoord’s evaluation of the defender to beat Newcastle to his signature? We shall have to wait and see.

0

John Terry wanted by Qatari club

0

Chelsea captain John Terry is wanted by Lekhwiya in Qatar. The club is managed by ex-Swansea boss Michael Laudrup, who wants the defender to link up with him at the club.

The Blues skipper has recently put pen to paper on a new one-year contract extension at Stamford Bridge, but agents from the Qatari club have sounded out Terry’s camp to see if he would fancy a lucrative move to the Middle East.

The 33-year old knows that his place at the club is under threat as Jose Mourinho continues to recruit new defenders such as Kurt Zouma(although the teen is wanted on loan by various clubs). However, it is believed that the England man would rather see out his contract at Stamford Bridge and then consider a move to Lekhwiya if Laurdup is still there next season.

Schneiderlin warns Saints to spend wisely

0

Arsenal target Morgan Schneiderlin has told the Southampton board to spend their new transfer cash wisely, as boss Ronald Koeman closes in on his first signing. The Saints have managed to gather £62m so far from the sales of Luke Shaw, Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana.

Schneiderlin could also be set to leave the club, with Arsene Wenger contemplating a £15m bid for his fellow Frenchman. As for players joining Southampton, FC Twente midfielder Dusan Tadic looks set to sign in an £8.7m deal.

Now, Schneiderlin has warned Saints chiefs to spend all this new money wisely, as they look to continue to perform well in the Premier League next campaign. However, it could be quite hard for the club, with the St Mary’s side losing a lot of their top stars. But if they can spend the cash wisely as Schneiderlin says, then they could have nothing to worry about.

Barca’s Suarez deal stalls

0

The deal that would see Luis Suarez move to Barcelona is now stalling. Talks between the two clubs are ongoing, with Liverpool holding out for £80m for the striker, while Barca are only willing to offer £60m.

With this £20m gap talks are now stalling, as both teams try to come to an agreement over a potential move. The Uruguayan does appear to want out of Anfield after he apologised about the bite on Giorgio Chiellini, in what Guillem Balague has said ‘helped secure a move’.

But with such a large difference in what Liverpool want and what Barca are prepared to offer, could a deal end up collapsing? Or will a deal be agreed in the end?

Borussia Dortmund set to hijack Origi’s move to Liverpool

0

Liverpool look set for a transfer tussle with German giants Borussia Dortmund as they have entered the running for Lille forward Divock Origi. Origi who has been on World Cup duty with Belgium in Brazil could opt to join Dortmund ahead of Liverpool, however Rodgers hopes that by agreeing to loan the forward back to Lille for next season will persuade Origi to head for Anfield.

However both sides are looking to tie up the £11 million signing of the promising Belgian forward. Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has already invested heavily in his forward line this summer with the signing of Ciro Immobile from Torino and Adrian Ramos from Hertha Berlin. But he seems to be after a forward with pace and hopes Origi preferes a move to Germany over England.

Dortmunds need for forwards comes after Robert Lewandowski signed a pre contract agreement with Bundesliga heavyweights Bayer Munich leaving Jurgen Klopp with reduced options upfront for the new campaign. However the former Mainz boss has adressed this by signing Immobile and Ramos.

If Origi were to plump for a move to Dortmund then Spurs and Newcastle would be put on red alert as the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be up in the air, with Dortmund possibly willing to sell the forward if they can secure Origi’s signature.

Southampton defender slates club for lack of action

0

Croatian defender Dejan Lovren is unhappy with his club after finding out they did not inform him that Liverpool had bid for him.

The Saints man spoke to Sportske Novosti in Craotia: “Liverpool sent the offer and the club haven’t informed me,

“Not even about the subsequent Liverpool bids. That wasn’t right. I found out about the bid from other people which disappointed me and I realised I’ve got no business staying at Southampton.

“Frankly, my head is already at Liverpool.”

Lovren was also quick to criticise the club for a lack of ambition to keep stars such as Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana despite the departure of manager Mauricio Pochettino.

“Look, I’d gladly stay in Southampton if the club had any ambitions, if they kept the key players. [If that had happened] not even the Liverpool bid would have dissuaded me.”
