Chelsea player of the year – Eden Hazard!

Eden Hazard snatched up the main award for what is now the third time in his Chelsea career, making him only the second person in the award’s 50-year history to win a hat trick of gongs.

The Belgian attacking midfielder played a huge part in helping to recapture the Premier League crown this season, not least with his 16 goals scored.

Hazard has now equaled with Frank Lampard with three Chelsea Player of Year awards:

N’Golo Kante was the choice of his Chelsea team-mates for 2016/17, adding to his PFA Players’ Player of the Year Award last month.

Those awards add to the Football Writers’ Footballer of the Year and Premier League Player of the Year, capping off a remarkable individual season for the French midfielder.

The Winning Goal: Eden Hazard scored his team’s second goal during the Premier League match between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on February 4, 2017, and what a ripper it was, For the second season in a row, Eden Hazard scooped the goal of the season award, this time for his magnificent individual effort against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea ladies player of the year – Karen Carney!

Carney had scored her third goal of the season in a 7-0 win over Liverpool Ladies that very same day, a result that leaves Blues Ladies two wins away from regaining their league crown.

Chelsea academy player of the year – Mason Mount!

Mason Mount, captain of the Chelsea Under-18s side which retained the FA Youth Cup for a fourth successive year, was presented the award by his manager Jody Morris.

The 18-year-old midfielder has been a regular for the Under-18s all season and he has also been nominated for the PL2 Player of the Season.
