As you can see, there is a large range of wages at Crystal Palace. The more important players are on the higher wages, and the new signing, Christian Benteke, is on the highest wage the club has ever paid. Other notable wages are the £60,000 per week for striker Conor Wickham and midfielder Yohan Cabaye. It’s possible that the Palace fans would’ve expected a better season from the players with the wages they are getting paid. However, despite some good wins against Arsenal and Liverpool this season, the reality is that they were flirting with relegation for a long time, and had to change their manager mid-way through the season.

Next year will hopefully bring better thing for Sam Allardyce’s team. Getting rid of Alan Pardew was a good decision it has turned out, but Palace are starting again in terms of managers. Allardyce will want to bring in his own new players and build his old squad, so several Palace players could be on the way out of Selhurst Park this summer, as the former-England manager looks to rebuild and push for a higher league finish next season.
