Liverpool Transfers 2017-18

Liverpool Players Salaries has increased in the last two seasons. Liverpool has signed a couple of players after they sold star striker Luis Suarez to Barcelona for £75 million right after the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Below is the list of players signed by Liverpool in the summer of 2015.

New Deals and Contract Extensions

Despite spending around £80m over the summer, Liverpool were not particularly busy with only four new players coming in. Only Dejan Lovren has renewed his contract in the past few months as well, although Philippe Coutinho did sign a new deal back in January to make him the club’s biggest earner.

– Mohamed Salah and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were the Reds’ marquee summer arrivals, despite the latter taking a hefty pay cut to join from Arsenal.

– He may not have gotten his deadline day move to Barcelona, but Philippe Coutinho will still be earning £200,000 a week at Anfield after signing a new contract last January. He was previously reported to be on £75,000, so this has seen a significant change in Liverpool’s annual wage bill.

– Departing the club in the off-season were Mamadou Sakho and Lucas Leiva, both of whom were on big money. However, overall Liverpool’s wage bill has increased slightly since last season – perhaps to be expected now that they are back in the Champions League and have to attract higher calibre of players.
