The US Tennis Association (USTA) announced a 8% increase in the total prize money pool of the US Open in 2023.

The 8% increase in the total prize money takes the total from $60 million to a record $65 million for the 2023 tournament,  a new all-time high for the tournament. The US Open 2023 is now the highest-paying grand slam tournament.

Now both men’s and women’s singles champions earn as much as $3.0 million each. The singles prize money payout is a 15% increase from the $2.6 million taken home by men’s and women’s singles champions Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek a year ago. Watch & Bet on Tennis Live =>

This is followed by $1.5 million for singles runners-up. Singles competitions get a 7.5% increase, followed by 8.5% increase for men’s and women doubles events. The Qualifying event will get a 42.5% increase which will see $3.0 million dollars shared among players eliminated from 3 qualifying rounds.

There is an increase in prize money for the 7th year in a row. Now, in 2023, that makes the US open the most lucrative tennis tournament in the world.

Players participating in the qualifying rounds will get $3.0 million. They will distribute the total prize money pool to the losing players of the qualifying rounds.

The losers of the first qualifying rounds will get around $7500 each. Losers in the second round will earn around $15,000 each and the third qualifying rounds dish out $20,000 each.
