Chelsea face Everton in this clash on Sunday and they’ll be hopeful of extending their lead at the top of the table.

Team News, Predictions, Previews, Live free streams and Starting Line-ups for Everton vs Chelsea.

Chelsea will face a tough test this weekend, as they travel to Goodison Park to face Everton.

The Blues are at the top of the Premier League table but with Tottenham close behind them, they’ll want to continue accumulating as many points as possible to ensure they claim the Premier League title at the end of the season.

Antonio Conte has got his side playing well-organised, defensive football and they’ll be confident of keeping the Toffees out of the game at the weekend.

However, Everton themselves are in the midst of a battle for a European spot in the league. They’re currently in 7th place but only two points behind Arsenal and six off the top four.

They’ll be hoping to pull off the upset here in the hopes of climbing into one of those spots that guarantees a shot at European competition in the next campaign.

Everton vs Chelsea Key Stat

Although Chelsea have won 22 of their last 27 matches in the Premier League – which is certainly a stat for Everton to be afraid of – I think the key stat here is that Everton have won their last eight home matches in the league.

It shows that the Toffees are in a good vein of form at Goodison Park right now and the Blues are travelling to the club’s home ground at a time when Ronald Koeman’s side are doing tremendously well on their own patch.

It means that perhaps Antonio Conte’s men should be afraid going into the game of a potential upset, especially with the way they have been playing on the ground over the last few months.

If any side can end that run though, it can certainly be Chelsea.

Everton vs Chelsea Predicted Line-Ups

Everton will be without James McCarthy, who is out with a hamstring injury, while Seamus Coleman is still out with a broken leg that he suffered while on international duty. Funes Mori, Bolasie and Besic will also all be unavailable.

Chelsea haven’t got many injury issues. Although David Luiz and Cesar Azpilicueta do have recurring injuries, it hasn’t stopped them from playing so far and they are likely to continue to be in action this weekend.

Everton predicted line-up vs Chelsea: Courtois, Ake, Luiz, Azpilicueta, Alonso, Kante, Fabregas, Moses, Hazard, Willian, Costa.

Chelsea predicted line-up vs Everton: Stekelenburg, Baines, Williams, Jagielka, Holgate, Gueye, Davies, Schneiderlin, Mirallas, Barkley, Lukaku.

Everton vs Chelsea – Key Players

Romelu Lukaku (Everton) – Lukaku has been on fire again this season, banging in the goals for fun at Goodison Park. His goalscoring exploits and clinical finishing ability have made him one of the hottest and best strikers in the league this season.

The striker will be hoping to haunt his former club this weekend and show just what they’ve missed out on by selling him to the Toffees. If he can find the ball often and chances can be created for him during the game, then more often than not he will put them away and could make Chelsea pay.

If he has a good game, he could cause plenty of problems for the United defence.

N’Golo Kante (Chelsea) – The PFA Player of the Year will want to continue his superb season this weekend by putting in another fantastic performance for the Blues. His hard-working attitude, tackling, interceptions and passing range are a huge asset to Chelsea and they’ll be hoping he can continue to impress for them in this key game at the weekend.

If Everton give the Frenchman the chance to shine, then he is likely to take it with both hands and they will likely live to regret it. Once Kante gets going, it’s hard to get past him and hard to stop him in attack too, meaning Everton could have a troublesome afternoon if he plays as he has been most weeks.

Everton vs Chelsea SS Prediction

Although Everton have had a good season and are battling for a European spot – and will therefore want to upset the odds and get at least a point here – I can see Chelsea claiming the victory.

Everton are very much an attacking threat through the likes of Mirallas and Lukaku but Chelsea have been solid defensively all season and can quickly go from defence to attack and make opponents pay for it. They’ve been solid throughout their squad during this campaign and should be able to edge out a win here, despite Everton’s current great home record.

Everton vs Chelsea Score Prediction: 1-2 to Chelsea
