Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has emerged as a surprise target for Liverpool, according to the Daily Mail.

The Wanderers’ shot-stopper earned the Championship side a replay in the FA Cup, producing several fine saves in the 0-0 draw at Anfield on Saturday evening.

Bogdan, aged 27, made just his second Bolton appearance since August, having lost out on the number one spot to regular first-choice, Andrew Lonergan.

But following his fine display in-between the sticks at Anfield, Liverpool are now keen on the Hungary international, and could move for the goalkeeper, who produced a man of the match display for Neil Lennon’s side.

With Bogdan’s current contract expiring in the summer, and the player not featuring on a regular basis, Brendan Rodgers could view him as a suitable competition for current keeper, Simon Mignolet.

However, Liverpool face competition for Bogdan’s signature, with several German Bundesliga sides also keen.

Bogdan broke into the Bolton first team during the 2011/12 season, replacing club stalwart Jussi Jaaskelainen in the process, and has since made over 100 appearances for the Macron Stadium outfit.
