The Gunners are keen to add some more firepower to their attack this summer

Arsenal are considering a move for Odion Ighalo, according to reports.

The Daily Mirror have claimed that the striker has become one of the Gunner’s main targets after an impressive season for Watford.

He is one of the main reasons that the Hornets have adapted to the Premier League rather well and his goalscoring prowess – he’s bagged 16 goals in 35 games in all competitions – has caught the eye of several top teams.

Ighalo could cost ÂŁ20m

One of these sides is Arsenal, who have made signing a new striker one of their top priorities when the summer transfer window opens its doors.

They are keen to try and add another player who can score regularly to their side and they believe that Ighalo could be that man.

The 26-year old won’t be too cheap though – Watford would want around ÂŁ20m for the forward’s services. The Gunners will also face competition from the likes of Atletico Madrid and Chelsea to sign Ighalo but it is currently Arsene Wenger’s side who appear in pole position to sign him.
