The club are reportedly ‘days away’ from tying up deal for Brazilian starlet.

Chelsea are reportedly very close to securing their second signing of the summer, in the form of 19-year-old Kenedy. Sky Sports suggest that the transfer fee will be worth around £6 million for the Fluminese forward, and will be announced by the end of this week.

It is already being reported that the Brazil under 20 man will go straight back out on loan after signing, for him to gain some first team experience.

The forward was also believed to be a target of AC Milan and fellow Premier League rivals Manchester United.

Whilst at Fluminese, the forward has only managed to grab himself five goals in 40 appearances, although it is unknown how many of those appearances were starts.

Speaking of interest from big European clubs back in 2013, Kenedy stated his ambition to one day play on the continent.

Kenedy Has Ambition

“Of course I am happy to play for Fluminense but it is my ambition to one day play in Europe. I like Chelsea because of players like Oscar, David Luiz and Ramires. I like the whole team.

Kenedy has also been likened to Brazil’s current golden boy, Neymar, because of trickery, and immense dribbling ability. The only difference being, that Kenedy is very left-footed.

Busy Transfer Week

It appears to be a busy week ahead for the Stamford Bridge club, with Petr Cech looking set to complete his £10 million move across London to Arsenal, with the shot stopper set to undergo a medical at the Emirates today (29/6/15).

It is also being reported that the Blues will make a move for Stoke City shot stopper Asmir Begovic to replace Cech, with Roman Abramovich‘s club becoming the odds on favourites to land his signature.
