Borussia Dortmund star’s agent spotted with director of football
The agent of Borussia Dortmund star Ilkay Gundogan has held transfer talks with incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and director of football Txiki Begiristain, according to reports.
The German international is heavily expected to leave Dortmund this summer, and has been linked with a move to the Premier League, but with Arsenal and Liverpool to interested parties.
However, according to emerging reports today, Gundogan‘s agent has already held talks withCity‘s new manager Guardiola and the club’s director of football Begiristain.
Gundogan has already told Dortmund officials that he won’t be renewing his contract at the club, which expires in 2017, so the Bundesliga side are desperate to cash in and sell this summer.
Valuation Revealed
It’s believed £25million will be enough to secure the deal, and City are ready to go ahead and match that valuation.
The 25-year-old has had serious injury problems in recent seasons, but that hasn’t prevented Guardiola from being interested in the midfielder, and he could become the Spaniard’s first major signing for City.
