Manchester United are reportedly set to announce the signing of 24-year-old Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid
Spanish website Don Balon is claiming that the Red Devils are set to tie up a deal for the 24-year-old, who has been relentlessly linked with a move to Old Trafford and Chelsea in recent months.
The same report says the Red Devils have now settled on a fee of around £61.5m (€70m) for the signature of the Spain striker.
Manchester United are set to start their pre-season tour of the United States later this month and it would make sense that the Red Devils would try and tie up a deal for Morata as soon as possible.
Morata’s future has been a non-stop source of speculation this summer due to his lack of playing time for Real Madrid last season.
Other reports claim Morata’s father and agent met Real Madrid officials on Monday with a switch to the Theatre of Dreams in danger of stagnating.
Real were said initially be trying to recoup £80m for the attacker, who scored 15 league goals last season, but it is claimed the La Liga giants have relented on their asking price.
