Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly furious with the way Jose Mourinho has dealt with the saga involving his medical staff, in particular Eva Caneiro.
The Portuguese was visibly annoyed at his medical team for rushing onto the pitch to aid Eden Hazard, meaning he had to leave the field of play for the time being, leaving The Blues with just eight-men on the field whilst trying to hold on to a point.
After the game Mourinho criticised his medical team and said Caneiro doesn’t understand the game and is just a distraction on match-days.
The club doctor stood up for herself and posted a Facebook message thanking fans for their support, which was then met by Mourinho axing her from match-days.
Caneiro has received a lot of backing and support since the saga, and it seems that owner Abramovich is also on her side with the Russian left furious at how Mourinho went about things.
According to reports, Abramovich is furious that Mourinho publicly criticised a member of his staff on both radio and television.
There are fears around the club that Caneiro could sue for Mourinho’s actions, and officials at the club are now trying their best to resolve the matter before the weekend’s game against Manchester City.
