Diego Costa has apparently started to say his  goodbyes  at  Stamford Bridge, according to reports in the media.

The Daily Telegraph are claiming that the Spain international is already preparing to leave Stamford Bridge even though Atletico Madrid are still to make an opening bid.

The same article states that Costa has told some of his Chelsea team-mates that he is confident a return to Atletico will materialise in the summer transfer window.

However, the Premier League champions are struggling to sign a striker to replace Costa despite Antonio Conte informing the 28-year-old that he is surplus to requirements next term.

However, the same report claims that Costa will not be allowed to skip Chelsea’s pre-season campaign if the Blues haven’t agreed a transfer deal with Atletico.

The Brazilian-born forward scored 20 times in 35 games to help the west London side to win the Premier League title with two games to spare last term.

Costa has won two Premier League crowns and the EFL Cup during a three-year stay at Stamford Bridge.
