With just a few days left of the transfer market, what could happen?

The summer transfer window slams shut in just five days time, so SillySeason are now going to look at five transfers that could happen before September 1.

It’s been a fairly quiet summer so far in terms of money spent, but Manchester United and Liverpool have done their best to keep us entertained throughout by signing several new faces.

Manchester City have splashed out on two big deals in Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Otamendi, whilst Chelsea and Arsenal have been relatively quiet.

However, with just five days left, we expect a few big-money signings to go through and these are the five we have highlighted as ones to watch and ones to expect!

Lets start the list!

5) David De Gea to Real Madrid

DeGea

This transfer saga has quietened a lot in recent weeks, but SillySeason still expects something to happen between now and Tuesday.

Louis Van Gaal has kept David De Gea out of his first-team so far this season, using Sergio Romero as the number-one which leaves the Spaniard’s future still uncertain.

Madrid are desperate to sign the shot-stopper and could offer up to ÂŁ33million in order to land him before the deadline shuts.

Iker Casillas has joined FC Porto and Madrid officials have always highlighted De Gea as the long-term replacement.

With United not playing him and leaving him out of the match-day squad, does that suggest they know something will happen? Or is it just a way to keep him out of the spotlight?

Whatever the reasons, we think something could happen before September 1.
