It’s the transfer that should happen and most likely will happen.
Chelsea want John Stones. John Stones want Chelsea. Deal done right?
Well not exactly. Everton are still playing hard-ball. They’ve rejected two formal offers already from The Blues, and have now rejected Stones‘ formal transfer request.
The centre-back informed the club earlier this week he wanted to leave, but The Toffees turned down his request and have told him he must stay put at Goodison Park.
However, Chelsea are preparing a third and final offer worth around £40million.
This should be done by deadline day unless Everton can somehow resist the mega-money being offered.
So there are five transfers to look out for before Tuesday’s deadline.
