After hearing about 70% of the shirts being sold having his name on the back, Benteke, couldn’t believe it:
‘That is incredible. I am really, really proud of that. It means a lot to know I have made a good impression with the fans.
‘I am lost for words. It’s nice to know that sort of thing. It’s a great motivator.’
I personally feel sorry for the Tottenham fans that have Van Der Vaart on the back of their shirt this season. The Dutchman left Tottenham on transfer deadline day.
