£200 million- Manchester United’s revival

It is no secret that Moyes has plans this summer (depending whether he stays), and this week has been full of speculation of potential arrivals to Old Trafford.  With the potential of not being in the Champions League next season for the first time in 19 years, this seems to have alerted Manchester United that they have a major rebuilding project to do, in order to become the best again. According to reports, £200 million pounds will be handed to the Manchester United manager to prove his worth and to make his promises to get United back into the Champions league true.

With captain Nemanja Vidic leaving, along with Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra, defensive players have been heavily speculated. Southampton defender Luke shaw, Porto FC centre-back Eliaquim Mangala and Everton player Seamus Coleman all seem to be targets to bulk up and improve United’s defense next season.

Manchester United’s midfield is also an area where Moyes is keen to improve, with Giggs’ retirement on the brink of happening and Fellaini’s disappointing performances, United’s midfield requires major surgery. Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho, who has a £37 million release clause, has been linked with the club for a while now, along with Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos.

As for United’s attack, with Van Persie declaring his happiness at the club, not many changes are expected to be made. However, Javier Hernandez is quietly growing with frustration of being placed on the subs bench week after week, so a possible replacement for him seems likely, in the form of Edison Cavani, who himself is not happy at PSG.

With Darren Fletcher stating this week that: “It’s time to show the manager that you deserve to be at this club,”, changes should be expected to be made in the summer. Keep your eyes peeled United fans.
