Mikel Arteta slammed for wrong treatment for Aaron Ramsdale.
The England defender has been sidelined for the majority of the season and has lost his No.1 spot in the squad to summer loan signing David Raya from Brentford.
There has been increasing uncertainty over the goalkeeper’s future as it’s unlikely that he would want to continue in a backup role.
Since the arrival of Raya this summer, Ramsdale has scarcely featured for the North London giants in all competitions.
Raya who has been subjected to a lot of criticism has made several high-profile errors since he arrived at the Emirates.
Ramsdale’s father recently confessed that his son is struggling from his recent exodus from the first team and criticised Mikel Arteta for wrong treatment of the English goalkeeper.
‘Aaron is going to be the cup goalkeeper, and David Raya is going to be the main man unless something happens, an injury or a sending-off,’ Nick Ramsdale told The Highbury Squad.
‘Aaron’s got to live with that and he is living with that even though he’s not been told it. By anybody. You’ve got to give the guy a chance for God’s sake.
‘Even though the way it’s been done, in my eyes, it’s been wrong and we can talk about that but it’s the decision.’
