Liverpool defender, Daniel Agger has voiced his frustration after losing his place in Liverpool’s first team and becoming third choice centre-back at the club.

The 29-year-old has admitted that he does not know where he will be in the future after he believes Rodgers does not rate him.

The Danish defender lost his place to new arrival Mamadou Sakho for key games towards the end of the season and admits that he was gutted to be left out.

When asked if he would still be at Liverpool next season, he told Danish media: “I don’t know. That’s up to the manager. I can’t go and put myself on the team sheet. It definitely wasn’t great to be left out, but I don’t make the decisions.”

“I think it is because the manager doesn’t think that I’m good enough.”

Agger will not force the issue and is concentrating on playing for Denmark before having a summer holiday.

“I’m not thinking about my future,” he said.

“Now my focus is on the next international games with Denmark. Then I’m looking forward to a long five-week holiday. My body and mind need to relax.”
