Alberto Moreno to drop wages in order to join Liverpool

Liverpool target Alberto Moreno will lower his wage demands in order to push through a move from Sevilla to Anfield.

The Spanish left-back has been on Brendan Rodgers’ radar since the end of the season, but the possible deal collapsed after the two teams were disagreeing on the player’s value, with the La Liga side wanting ÂŁ20million for the defender.

However, Rodgers wasn’t prepared to spend that much on the 22-year-old, but it seems like he has now changed his mind and is now ready to announce the deal later this week.

Liverpool are in dire need of defensive reinforcements, and currently are without a single recognised left-back, and after missing out on Chelsea’s Ryan Bertrand, who joined Southampton on loan, The Reds are now back in for Moreno.

It’s not known how much the fee is for the left-back, and it’s also unknown what wages he is asking for, but it is clear that he is keen to push through the move and wants it wrapped up later this week.
