Shakhtar Donetsk star happy he’s wanted
Alex Teixeira has revealed he’s ‘very happy’ that Chelsea are showing interest in him and has also admitted he may have to leave Shakhtar Donetsk in order to be noticed on an international stage.
The Brazilian striker has been in red-hot form for the Ukrainian outfit so far this season, but due to playing in that league, he’s struggled to get noticed for the national side.
Now aged 26, Teixeira feels it’s the right time to move on and move away from Shakhtar in order to fulfill his dream of playing for Brazil and he believes he can only do that by moving on.
Speaking about his future, the striker admitted he wants to play for his country and is prepared to move clubs in order to do so. He also admitted that the reported Chelsea interest is making him ‘very happy’.

‘I want to be part of the Brazilian national team, so I may have to switch clubs,’ said the forward.
‘Chelsea? I’m very happy that they’re interested. On my part, I do everything to continue improving.’
