The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a summer exit

Alisson Becker joined Roma from Inter Milan in the summer of 2016, signing a 5 year contract. He  spent the majority of that season as understudy to Polish international Wojciech Szczęsny, managing to make only 15 appearances in all competitions.

It has been a meteoric rise for the Brazilian who did not play a single game in Serie A in the 2016-2017 campaign before taking over as the undisputed No.1 last term. He has been very impressive for the club domestically and in Europe, keeping 22 clean sheets in 49 games for the club in all competitions.

The Goalkeeper also helped his team to reach the Semi-finals of the Champions League and has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

The 25 year old’s excellent form caught the attention of clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea and Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window. Jurgen Klopp especially is very keen to sign as he wants a new world class goalkeeper for next season.

Alisson wants clarity on where he will spend the next season and is hoping that his future will be resolved before the World Cup in Russia starts next week.

“I believe and I hope that everything will be resolved before the start of the World Cup,” Alisson said as quoted by Goal after Brazil’s 3-0 friendly win over Austria on Sunday.

“To be honest, I left everything in the hands of my agents.

“If it’s not resolved before the World Cup, then it will be discussed after it because my head will be focused only on Brazil [during the tournament].”

“There are possibilities on which we are working, but always together with Roma and with respect to my club,” he said.

“We will see what will happen this week.”
