Alvaro Morata believes Atletico Madrid will go all out to compete in every trophy for the remainder of the season.
Atleti secured a scrappy 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano to reclaim the second place in the La Liga. Morata laid the winning pass to Antoine Griezmann who netted the winner to become the fifth highest goal scorer for the club surpassing Fernando Torres.
Morata arrived at his old hunting ground in the January transfer window from Chelsea as the Blues roped in Gonzalo Higuain on loan from AC Milan. The Spaniard struggled for his existence during his time in London and his stint at the Wanda Metropolitano could provide him with the perfect stage to revive his career.
Morata said, (It was a) fundamental victory and three golden points for us.
“It seems easy but it is very difficult to win here.
“We managed to do it and we are very happy.
“We have the Champions League and we have LaLiga (to play for).
“We will fight in the competitions in which we are still alive.
“We are Atletico and we have the mission of going for everything.”
