Carlo Ancelotti will reject the Chelsea job if it is offered to him on a short term basis.
With Jose Mourinho under pressure candidates are already likely to have been drawn up at board level.
Other possible replacements for the ‘special one’ include Pep Guardiola, Diego Simeone and Guus Hiddink.
However it’s understood that if Mourinho does leave the bridge Ancelotti is the main target.
In a report by the Daily Mail it stated that Ancelotti would only move back to his former club on a permanent basis.
During his two year tenure he won the title before being replaced by Andre-Villas-Boas.
He is currently out of work after been dismissed by Real Madrid in the summer and rejected an offer to manage AC Milan, which he say’s he regrets.
