Pereira is currently on loan at Valencia

Andreas Pereira came through the ranks of Manchester United and made his senior debut in the 2014-2015 season. After the arrival of Jose Mourinho, he made clear to Pereira that he won’t be getting regular game time time but wants him to stay.

Though the Brazilian wanted first team regular football and went out on a season long loan, first to Granada in 2016-2017 and then to Valencia last summer.

Pereira has had an decent campaign in Spain, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist in 26 appearances. Valencia are also close to qualifying for the Champions League next season.

There were speculations few days ago that Pereira wants to hold talks with Mourinho before he makes a decision about his future and wants assurance over his position at the club. He is keen to establish himself as a regular in the team.

But the 22 year old has denied the rumors but confirmed that the Spanish club wants to sign him on a permanent deal.

“Valencia approached my agent and said they want to buy me which is flattering, but it wasn’t like it was reported in the media,” he told the South China Morning Post.

“People said I’d demanded talks with Jose Mourinho when I’ve demanded nothing. The Valencia coach speaks with me a lot and we have a good understanding, but as far as I’m concerned I’m still a Manchester United player, with a contract at Old Trafford until 2020 and an ambition to make it at United.

“I’ve never sought to leave United.”
