Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed today that Angel Di Maria and Sami Khedira have both asked to leave the club.
The two midfielders have been told by Ancelotti that they will be on the fringes of the first-team for the season ahead, due to the Spanish club signing James Rodriguez from Monaco, and Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich.
However, both Di Maria and Khedira are not happy to play bit-part roles for the season and have today handed in formal transfer requests.
The news will alert Premier League trio; Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea, who have all been strongly linked with signing the duo, United linked with Di Maria, and the two London clubs, linked with Khedira.
