Antonio Conte says Harry Maguire possesses many of the characteristics as John Terry
Jacob Harry Maguire, known as Harry Maguire, is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Premier League club Leicester City.
Conte believes the youngster carries the same traits that helped the Chelsea legend enjoy a long and distinguished international career.
The 24-year-old joined Leicester City from Hull City in the summer for £17million and has immediately established himself as a key component of Craig Shakespeare’s side
Maguire was rewarded for his early season performances with his first call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the recent World Cup qualifiers and Conte has been impressed with what he has seen from the imposing centre-half.
‘Yes I think he has the right characteristics to play for the national team for many years,’ said Conte.
‘To compare him with John is very difficult because John played a lot of games with national team. He was captain, he was legend for the England national football team and Chelsea.
‘But Maguire has the right characteristics to follow this type of career.’
