Chelsea Football Club striker Tammy Abraham has admitted it’s an honour to have been hailed as the future of the club by manager Antonio Conte earlier this season.
The 19-year-old who is currently out on loan over at Championship side Bristol City, has caught the attention with his goalscoring ability away from Stamford Bridge.
This has had fans all over saying he should get a first-team role with the Blues next year, and Tammy Abraham admits he has been given the boost of confidence to do so after Conte’s praise.
‘It was good (to hear) obviously it’s a massive thing to happen and it’s important to have that support behind you, knowing that people are taking recognition of your game and how you’re playing,’ he told Squawka.
‘It was really motivating for me hearing such praise and it gives me the confidence to go out there and perform on the pitch.
‘In the summer he (Conte) was giving me advice, what he wanted me to do on the pitch and where to position myself so it was mainly little things like that really.’
