Arsenal Football Club have announced the signing of Kim Kallstrom from Russian side Spartak Moscow on loan until the end of the season.
The 31-year-old has been in London all day completing his loan move, and it is believed he passed his medical in the afternoon and all terms and paperwork have now been completed.
Arsene Wenger gave a press conference at 9am this morning and admitted that he was looking for a midfielder, and he has managed to bring in the Swedish international in order to fill in for Mathieu Flamini’s suspension and Aaron Ramsey’s injury.
Arsène Wenger said on the signing: “Kim Kallstrom is a hugely-experienced player. He is a midfielder with proven quality at both club and international level. We welcome Kim to Arsenal.”
Whilst Kallstrom has had this to say: “Arsenal is an amazing club with a lot of great players and a coach who has done really well here for a long time. I am so pleased to come here to learn as much as possible. I’m here to do my best for Arsenal and to help out the team, so we can achieve good results for the last part of the season.”
