DEADLINE DAY LIVE: Osvaldo signs for Juventus.

Italian Serie A side Juventus have signed Southampton centre forward Pablo Osvaldo on a loan deal until the end of the current season.

The striker passed his medical in Turin ahead of his loan move to the Serie A giants.

Osvaldo moves from Southampton, after spending a tough six months or so on the South Coast, after signing for £8 million in the summer.

But he had failed to settle on the South Coast, having scored just three goals in thirteen Premier League games since signing from AS Roma.

Juventus have paid Southampton £300,000 as a down payment, with a permanent move to Italy expected in the summer.

The Italy international will wear the number 17 shirt in Turin, and will go straight into the squad for Sunday’s home game against Inter Milan.

Osvaldo was serving a two week ban at the Saints, after a training ground fight with defender Jose Fonte.
