Arsenal keen on Spanish youngster

After missing out on a striker in the summer, with the likes of Luis Suarez being one of the strikers who turned down a move to the Emirates, Arsenal look set to find a new striker this summer. With Oliver Giroud who many believe does not have the assets needed currently to bring Arsenal enough goals and possibly lead them to Premier League success. Yaya Sanogo is a young striker who has only featured in a handful of games and Bendter who is leaving in the summer, reinforcements are needed in this area.

Young Spanish striker Francisco Alcacer, has caught the eye of Arsene Wenger and could be on his way to the Emirates in the summer. For those who have no previous knowledge of Alcacer, he is currently applying his trade in La Liga for Spanish club Valencia. He has made his way through the academy and has scored six goals in thirteen appearances this season. He has enjoyed spells in the B team and a loan spell at fellow Spanish club Getafe. He has also featured for Spanish under 21 and looks set for a bright future.

Alcacer is not the only young Spanish striker Arsenal are linked with, Alvaro Morata has been linked with a move to the Gunners for a while, but nothing has formulated so far. It looks like Wenger is interested in securing young talent up front and keeping with his tradition of looking for young talent and foreign young talent at that.

Many Arsenal fans will be hoping for a big name striker in the summer, rather than just young talent. With vast improvements in the Premier League and now being given the tag of favourites for the FA Cup, Arsenal will hope to push on next season and continue to push for silverware.
