Arsenal have launched a bid for highly rated Brazilian youngster Rodrigo Caio.
It is known that Wenger had sent scouts to go and watch the defender during the recent Toulon Tournament, where Caio starred for the U-20 Brazil side.
Caio has caught the eye of many in Brazil, with displays that show the defender seems to be progressing very well, and could potentially become a world-star.
The Defender plays either as a centre-back or in a defensive midfield position, which Wenger admires about the player.
Arsenal’s chief scout Steve Rowley recently had a meeting with Caio’s agent, Mendes, launching a 7m bid to sign the youngster.
Wenger will be able to secure a work permit for the player, enabling him to join the squad right-away.
