Of the English clubs, Arsenal are reportedly going to make the biggest push to land Di Maria, while United are at a disadvantage because the player does not fancy living in Manchester.
Whilst Chelsea are also known to be interested, Di Maria is indifferent about a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.
However, the trio have been given a boost with reports suggesting Di Maria believes his game would be well suited to the Premier League.
Real’s desire to offload Di Maria has intensified in recent days as they line up a move for Monaco’s James Rodriguez.
Rodriguez has been one of the stars of the World Cup and recently admitted it was his dream to join Real.
The Spanish giants are now keen to tie up a deal for Rodriguez but would ideally like to offload Di Maria first.
It now remains to be seen whether Arsenal, United or Chelsea can pull off a move for Di Maria or whether the player ends up plying his trade elsewhere next term.
