Arsenal preparing £12million bid for striker

Arsenal are preparing to ramp up their interest in Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy by offering the Championship club £12million for the Frenchman.

Remy, who has spent the campaign out on-loan at Premier League side Newcastle United, has enjoyed his time in the top-flight, and despite QPR being in the play-offs in the Championship, it’s believed the striker will leave permanently in the Summer no matter what the outcome is for Harry Redknapp’s side.

According to reports, The Magpies want to keep Remy on a permanent deal, but with other clubs, such as Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and even Bayern Munich all interested, it could be a struggle for Alan Pardew to persuade the hitman to stay on at St James Park.

Wenger is desperate to sign a new striker in the Summer and is keen to wrap it up before the World Cup in Brazil so that price-tags don’t inflate, and the Frenchman believes he could wrap up a deal with QPR if he offers them around £12million.

It’s believed Arsenal won’t go any higher for the striker so they have told QPR that it is a ‘take it or leave it’ offer.
