Arsenal Football Club are prepared to offer FC Barcelona winger Alexis Sanchez, £130k-a-week if he chooses to join them over rivals-Liverpool.
The Gunners have made it clear that they are interested in the Chilean, and it’s thought that Arsene Wenger wants to turn him from a winger, into a striker, much like he did with Thierry Henry, and according to reports, Sanchez is keen on that idea.
There were reports suggesting Sanchez could be used in the Luis Suarez deal, but Liverpool are not interested in the player-swap deal as they want the full amount of cash for the Uruguayan.
It’s also been said that the Barca star would prefer a move to London rather than Merseyside for personal reasons.
According to some reports, Arsenal have already made a £19.4million offer, but it’s believed that Barcelona will want at least £25m for the 25-year-old.
A contract worth £130k-a-week would tempt Sanchez as it’s a significant pay-rise from his current one at the Nou Camp, which is roughly £75k-a-week.
