Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to renew his interest in Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema this Summer, after reports have suggested that the Frenchman could be sold.
The Gunners boss has been interested in signing Benzema for the past few seasons, and after heavily relying on just Olivier Giroud for the majority of this campaign, Wenger is keen to sign a striker to share the workload.
However, Wenger will face serious competition to sign Benzema due to Madrid keen to sell him to either Liverpool or Manchester City, so that they can work a deal to sign either Sergio Aguero or Luis Suarez.
If reports are to be believed, Wenger made a large offer for the striker last Summer, but Carlo Ancelotti knocked the bid back as he wasn’t interested in selling the front-man, but this year could be a different story with the boss keen on signing one of the Premier League stars.
Wenger is prepared to spend up to £25million on the 26-year-old.
