France international Pogba was courted by the Gunners whilst he was still at Manchester United, however a move never materialised.
The youngster left Old Trafford in the summer of 2012, signing for Italian Serie A side Juventus.
Since that move to Turin two years ago, Pogba has gone onto become one of the key players within the Juventus squad, helping them to two Serie A championship titles in a row.
Pogba, aged 21, recently signed a new deal with the club, which will see him remain at Juventus for the long-term future.
However, Arsene Wenger has revealed why he never managed to take the midfielder to the Emitates Stadium.
“We were interested by Pogba when he was at Manchester,” Wenger told BeIn Sport.
“We tried to get him, but it was complicated.
“I was surprised to see Manchester let him go. We did not have the right to contact him.”
