Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen on signing FIVE players for the club this Summer.

The Gunners fell short in last season’s Premier League title race, but did end the season on a high after ending their nine-year trophy drought, by winning the FA Cup against Hull City, and after breaking the trophy voodoo, Wenger is ready to spend big to take Arsenal back to the top of English football.

The Frenchman, who signed a new deal at the end of the season, has told club officials that he wants to sign at least five new players this Summer, with all of them expected to be first-team players next year.

After Bacary Sagna and Lukasz Fabianski left the club earlier this month, Wenger is in search for a first-team right-back and also a back-up goalkeeper to challenge Wojciech Szczesny for the number-one jersey.

It isn’t known who Wenger wants to sign as a ‘keeper, but it’s believed Toulouse’s Serge Aurier is his wanted right-back.

As well as defensive reinforcements, Wenger also wants to sign a holding-midfielder to replace Mikel Arteta, and is also interested in a striker and a winger.

According to reports, the striker wanted is Mario Balotelli, and the winger could be FC Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez, who is currently starring for Chile in the World Cup.

As for the midfield position, Lars Bender and Morgan Schneiderlin have been reportedly linked, but nothing concrete has been revealed.
