Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is confident that his side can still catch Chelsea in this year’s title-race, despite already being nine points behind.
The Blues, who have had an unbeaten start, are hot favourites to win the Premier League this year, and with their closest rivals all having slow starts to the new campaign, they are well on their way to another title under Jose Mourinho.
As for Arsenal, they have drawn way too many games already this season, resulting in them being nine points off Chelsea already, but Wenger is adamant that his side can still catch their rivals and can still mount a title challenge.
‘I don’t write ourselves off, we can do it,’ he said.
‘The title odds don’t consider who we played, the quality of the other teams, missing players.
‘I believe we will come back and we can prove that on pitch.’
Arsenal have already played Everton, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in their opening few fixtures, drawing three of them and losing the other.
