Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is apparently shocked and ‘shaken up’ by the current divide between the fans regarding his future at the club.

The Gunners, who were top of the table by two point before their trip to Anfield, are now fourth and pretty much out of this season’s title-race with fourth spot now looking in doubt due to Everton’s good form.

Things went from bad to worse on Tuesday night after they conceded a last minute equaliser at home to Swansea City, meaning they are now looking over their shoulders, rather than what’s ahead of them.

The 2-2 draw to Gary Monk’s men was met by a string of boos by some portion of the fans, and a source close to Wenger has admitted that this has shaken up the Frenchman for the first time.

“Arsene has been affected by the criticism.

“Previously it was all water off a duck’s back to him because he was so sure of what he wanted and so sure of the course he was on.

“But he has been really shaken by this, for the first time.”
