Ashley Cole has apologised for his tweet aimed at the FA after the John Terry hearing.

The Chelsea defender reacted badly after his evidence was questioned in the John Terry/Anton Ferdinand racism case.

The England full-back changed his initial statement and said that he heard Anton Ferdinand use the word ‘black’ and that John Terry was simply repeating what Ferdinand had said. However in the cases findings, the commission said that there was considerable doubt over Ashley Cole’s statement.

After hearing the conclusion, Ashley Cole, took to social networking site, Twitter, and tweeted the following:

“Hahahahaa, well done FA. I lied, did i #BUNCHOFT***S”

The tweet was quickly deleted from his account and he soon apologised for his actions.

“I was really upset and tweeted my feelings in the heat of the moment. I apologise unreservedly for my comment about the FA.”

England manager, Roy Hodgson, has spoke to Ashley Cole about the incident and he has confirmed that it won’t jeopardise his place in the England set-up.
