Aspas hits out at Liverpool

Liverpool flop Iago Aspas has hit out at the club regarding the lack of first team chances, reports the Daily Express.

Aspas swiftly moved back to his homeland of Spain with Sevilla this summer, on a season long loan, and has stated how tough it was to settle in at Liverpool.

The attacking midfielder signed for the Anfield club from Celta Vigo in the summer of 2013, and found his first team chances limited as Liverpool finished second in the Premier League.

Aspas told Seville based Radio station, SFC Radio:  “I’m happy to have made my debut, because I knew, when we came out, that not everything was alright, but we worked very hard.

“Last year, it was hard for me to get minutes and this year I was patiently waiting to get my first minutes.

“I like playing football, I live for and with football and if I don’t play I almost die.”

Aspas will spend the rest of the season on loan at Sevilla and already appears to be angling for the club to take up the option to make the deal permanent at the season’s end.
