Arsenal are keen on challenging goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny’s worth after launching a move for Cardiff goalkeeper, David Marshall.

The Scotland international has been formidable in the Cardiff goal this season, despite being relegated, and has won widespread praise for his consistent performances.

With Marshall winning all the plaudits this season, he earned a bumper new deal at the Welsh club. But Arsenal are keen on testing Cardiff’s resolve and are willing to offer the keeper a further pay hike. This combined with the prospect of Champions League football, will almost certainly turn Marshall’s head.

Cardiff manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, will try and hang on to Marshall, but may be tempted if Arsenal offer a bid in the region of ÂŁ8 million pounds.
