According to reports from Tuttosport, Barcelona are willing to make a massive bid for Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez.
The 24-year old has been an integral player for Diego Simeone’s side in the last few years. So far, he has made 236 appearances for Atleti, scoring 32 goals and providing 18 assists. This season, Saul has made 32 appearances for Atletico, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists. He scored Atletico’s second goal against Villarreal at the Wanda Metropolitano yesterday. Atleti eventually won the game 2-0 with Morata scoring his first ever goal for the club.
Barcelona are willing to pay €110 million for the midfielder. The Blaugrana have shown interest in Saul for a while now and are eager to rope him in. Saul’s current contract with Atletico Madrid expires in 2026 and he also has a release clause of €150 million to his contract. Hence, it doesn’t seem very likely that Atletico will accept Barca’s bid. Atletico will surely try their best to kep.
However, Barca aren’t the only club interested in signing Saul as Manchester City have also shown interest in the midfielder.
