Thomas Tuchel wants Trevoh Chalobah at Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich will reignite their interest in Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah who is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.
He has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Axel Disasi from Monaco this summer and will force away a move this month.
With Thiago Silva, Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill all in the squad, Chalobah would face stiff competition in central defence.
The England international missed the first half of the season with an injury and it would be a huge setback if he misses the first half of 2024 on the sidelines.
The versatile defender can play in central defence and at right-back but is deemed surplus to Mauricio Pochettino’s requirements.
Chalobah was heavily linked with a potential reunion with former boss Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich last summer but the Bavarians have now reignited their interest in the defender.
Chelsea needs to offload a few players to maintain their line with the Financial Fair Player regulations.
Chalobah is yet to feature for the Blues this season after being frozen out by manager Mauricio Pochettino.
