Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed that the club has turned down a number of enquiries from Italy and England for the former FC Basel star.
Shaqiri has been linked to a move away from the Allianz this summer, and reports claim that Arsenal and Liverpool have attempted to lure the Swiss away from Germany.
The Bayern chief claims that Liverpool have put in a £14m offer for the midfielder, but Liverpool are yet to confirm. In an interview with Bayern’s official website he stated: “We’ve had several enquiries from teams in England and Italy. I’ve never had a conversation because we are convinced he will have a good career with us.”
Liverpool are still looking to use their money from departed striker Luis Suarez to strengthen their squad even further.
